CHARACTERS       

ROY:        a blustery rancher in his mid 50's.

GREEN:      a rabid environmentalist in his 20's.

SETTING

A cold and lonely abandoned mine shaft high in the mountains of the American southwest, far above the timber line.

TIME

Dusk on a bitterly cold winter day.

NOTE 1: Furnishings and props should be minimalistic.

NOTE 2: Throughout the performance ROY and GREEN should rub their hands, blow on their fingers, and so forth, to indicate extreme cold.
